Parents Day @ VRT 77

Dear Friends

On April 19, 2009, tablers of 77 had a special party arranged only for the parents of Tablers and the 77  Ladies.

All parents were welcome and then a meeting was conducted to give them a feel of how the table functions. Lot of parents came forward and shared their opinions and appreciated the work of the Tablers.

All parents were given silver watches as a gift and.

It was a day filled with lot of interaction and friendship.

Here are the pictures.

This Party does not stop

Tablers and ladies performing on Desi Girl.

77 Style.

The dance was choreographed by Tr. Ameet Mirpuri and performed by almost all the Tablers and Ladies of the Table.

Ameet started conceptualizing the choreography for the number by 15th October a good two months before the day of the event and the practice started by 25th of November.

Everyone put their heart and soul into the performance.

Tr. Aanand was away for 8 days immediately before the day of the event and could not be one among the guys due to lack of practice. Tr. Ameet specially choreographed a small jive piece to fit him in.

Also the idea of dancing on the bar top was accepted very readily and was a great hit at the party. Well after this performance, through the night, Tablers kept climbing on to the bar top and dancing.

Twinkler’s day by vlc52

On April 10th we celebrated Twinklers day with Twinklers and Circlers at Vijayawada Club after a Circle meeting. We had good attendence from the twinklers inspite of the exam tension. It was in fact a great break from books.First we cut the twinklers cake which was cut by our smallest twinkler present Tw.Arjun.We gave each twinkler a star to wear which was followed by games for them to play.We played bingo(housie) in a different way.All numbers were places inside cartoon charcters of TOM and JERRY.Numbers were placed on their hands, feet ,face etc.Instead of lines we picked up winners as two hands two legs etc.Another interesting game was each twinkler was given set of straws which were cut into pieces. They were to join the pieces and run the race.

We also had the Tablers  join us for dinner and a movie which was being played at the Club.
All of us had a great time chatting and must say it certainly was a stress reliver for most us.We all bid our goodbyes and returned to hitting books again!!!

Happy Holidays!!!

Cricket – VRT 77 + BRT 53 + BMRT 93

A game of “Glorious certainty”

Cricket they say is a game of “glorious uncertainty”, some loose and some win. But what happened on the 5th of April at the Kalinga sports complex in Bhubaneshwar was a game of “Glorious certainty”, called fellowship.

It was an inter table and an inter area cricket fellowship between

VRT-77 vs. BRT 53 and BMRT 93 combined together.

Fourteen tablers from VRT 77 traveled to Bhubaneshwar for a twenty-twenty cricket match against the combined team of BRT 53 and BMRT 93. We the tablers from Vizag had an amazing time right from the time we got into the train. We had the taste of some amazing hospitality right from the time we stepped into the Bhubaneshwar railway station to the time we got back into the train.

The day started off early in the morning at about 7 am with the formal introduction of the two teams and tablers followed by the cricket match in which the combined Bhubaneshwar team came out with flying colours. The award presenting ceremony and lunch over drinks at a lounge bar followed the match.

Though cricket is just an excuse and which gives uncertain results, fellowship is a game we can call it gloriously certain because at the end of it what follows is some amazing friends we made in the course of our travel to another city in the name of cricket.

Its fellowship that finally matters…

A GAME OF GLORIOUS CERTAINTY.
