Community Service activity by HORT 212

RT 212 had the opportunity to visit the Palliative Care Society in Kukatpally on September 9th convened by Chairman Bhavya Doshi.A heart wrenching experience to see the agony and suffering. Our table has pledged to support the organization by a donation of 1.5 lakhs.

It gives us great pride to be associated with this wonderful organization which is committed to providing health care to the poor and needy terminal disease patients. Tabler Amit Vanjani and circler Muskaan Vanjani have come forward to ensure that those suffering from cancer and other such afflictions with no financial, social and emotional support have easy access and availability to good health care and a dignified existence towards the end of life. This becomes supremely important as hospitals refuse to keep patients who show progressive deterioration and show poor response to medications. Palliative care center, Kukatpally offers hope and succour to the physically and emotionally distressed patients and we are indeed privileged to partner them for a year and be part of this noble endeavour.
