BEACH PARTY SOCIAL AT MANGAMARI PETA HOSTED BY TR . VIDHAN , NEHAL AND TR. HIREN

History of beach parties at 77 : VRT 77 has had some unforgettable memories as far as beach parties at Mangamari Peta are concerned . Who can forget the iconic first beach party way back in 2011 It was a social hosted by 41er Monish Rao and 41er Prem Mirpuri during Tr. Ameet’s chairmanship .

. We went on a boat ride and then we stopped in the middle of the ocean and jumped in to the sea . It was just like the movie “Zindagi Na milegi doobara . It was a memory to remember for a lifetime . Well , as the years had gone by ,
we made new memories , In The tabling year 2016 -17 , during Tr. Shrawan’s year as chairman , we had a fellowship at the same beach where there was sun , sand sea , sports , etc . The fellowship convenors at the time Vidhan and Hiren pulled out all the stops to give us a good time . It was an afternoon to remember . This was a little history of our previous beach parties .

December is here and the party season has begun . This year VRT 77 had its first social of the year on the 24th December 2017 at the scenic Mangamari Peta beach .
The fellowship team of last year and the present Secretary and Treasurer Tr . Vidhan and Nehal and Tr. Hiren were the hosts for the afternoon . The hosts ensured that the enthusiasm was at all time high . They sent out very unique invites which gave instructions to turn up the volume and then a beach themed song clip would play for a few seconds keeping everyone interested .

As soon as tablers , ladies and 41ers started coming in , they were welcomed with ice gollas . The only hitch is that they were spiked (haha ) . There was also a chaat counter for everyone to have quick bites to munch . The weather was just perfect … It wasn’t too hot and there was a cool breeze in the air . The sea wasn’t too rough and neither were the waves to harsh . It was just right .
The bar was set up in a boat on the shore with cocktails and mocktails flowing freely. Everyone just spent some quality time indulging in conversations , pulling legs , having a good laugh and sipping their drinks while some us didn’t want to wait any longer to plunge into the sea while others just decided to just wet their feet . A few of the tablers and Sq. Legs played a few games of volleyball which they thoroughly enjoyed . There was DJ Rahul playing music to set the mood and to keep everyone’s sprits high .
One of the tablers brought along a vehicle suitable for rough roads and sand . A few tablers and 41ers made use of the opportunity to go for a few drives on the sand which they enjoyed thoroughly . The party eventually became a sundowner which lasted till late evening . We just wanted to keep going as everyone were having an awesome time . It was fun unlimited and everyone had their beach vibe on .
The first social of the year for VRT 77 and we started off with a bang !!! .
A big thank you to Tr Hiren , Tr . Vidhan and Nehal for a chilled out and relaxed social on a Sunday afternoon . Kudos to their efforts with all the arrangements ensuring that we had a blast .
We eagerly look forward to the next social . This was once again an afternoon to remember .

Twinkler’s community service activity on twinkler Dhruv’s birthday at the PAPA Home Orphanage for street children at VRT 77

It is very important to teach our children about service to the needy from a younger age and also teach them that its not always about receiving but also about giving . VRT 77 continues to make a difference by continuing its initiative where we celebrate twinklers birthdays with a community service activity . It was Twinkler Dhruv ( Tr. Sandeep Chowdary and Sangeeta’s son’s birthday ) where we celebrated with a community service activity at PAPA (Public and Police association) home , an orphanage for street children . Dinner which was sambar rice and a vegetable curry was sponsored for them along with organges , biscuits and chocolate . The kids sang “Happy birthday ” for the birthday day boy Dhruv and twinkler Hardik showed them a few magic tricks . All in all , it was yet another satisfying community service activity for us at VRT 77 .

77 raids the GLUTTONS GARAGE

Gluttony means habitual greed or excess in eating. It is also one of the seven deadly sins .

We want to pamper our taste buds and try out new food . We are always looking for new places  to eat , so when a new restaurant opens up , it’s an opportunity for a fellowship . It happened to be our ChairmanTr. Naveen and Manasa’s anniversary so naturally our Chairman was in a very good spirits . He decided to treat us on this special day . We  had attendance in good numbers. We had a lot of varieties of food and when there is so much choice it becomes difficult to decide what to have.

It was big group of us so  by the time the food came , everyone got  such  a ravenous appetite  that we just kept eating whatever came our way  without keeping track of  who ordered what  . The food got over quick and then some of us were still left hungry that we ended up ordering some more . We ordered quite a bit but in the end we left quite satisfied .

We ordered burgers , pizzas , wraps , pasta , omelet  and a lot more . In the end , it was quite filling for all of us  .

We cut a cake for our Chairman Tr. Naveen and Manasa to celebrate their anniversary . The ambience of the restaurant is a major plus point as it looked pretty chilled out . It was more like a café with a funky décor and everyone liked the look and feel of the place , All in all  , it was an awesome fellowship with a lot of bonding and camaraderie. Another fellowship to remember for a long time .

PROJECT HOPE by VRT 77

This was another historic moment for VRT 77 as this was the first  community service project inauguration for 77 at Srikakulam Vaiodikula Sangam , Prasanthi Old age home . This old age home was started by our Chairman Tr. Naveen’s parents and is now being looked after by a retired income tax officer .

Under Project Hope , VRT 77 had donated a water purifying system to cater to 100 aged people , 25 beds , a 220 liter  refrigerator , steel cupboards , 20 ceiling fans and pillows for all . The old age home people were extremely happy and thanked us profusely . For the first time Round Table India’s presence has entered Srikakulam   . The chief guest was a local MLA , Mrs . Gunda Lakshmi Devi . She was very impressed with the work of Round Table India and had offered her assistance to with any work we further take up in the district . The media coverage was really extensive .

We also had a small community service activity there where we served sweets and biscuits for them. All in all , a very satisfying community service activity and yet another moment where you feel proud to be a tabler .

MOVEMBER (NO SHAVE NOVEMBER) FELLOWSHIP BY VRT 77

Movember is annual event involving the growing of moustaches by letting them grow wild and free during the month of November to raise awareness about men’s health. The goal of Movember is to change the face of men’s health. This is traditionally why movember is practiced .

Over the years , it has been taken up as challenge to see if men can go on for a one full month without shaving . So , in that spirit , the tablers of VRT 77 volunteered to grow beards and moustaches .. They had shared pictures with the fellowship team.. the before and after images .

A total of ten tablers volunteered and collages were made out of their images . These were shared on whatsapp groups and our ladies were asked to vote for Mr. Movember .  Tr. Teja  Muthiyam won the Mr. Movember 2017. Teja promised an all exclusive ladies fellowship as a treat (haha) . Chairman promised special Movember pins to all participants . All in all another innovative fellowship for VRT 77 .
