The National President Tr. Dhruv Dalmia was in Vizag on the 4th of March along with a good number of area board members . It was a matter of pride and honour for all the 5 tables of Vizag to play host to the NP and the area board members It is also a matter of pride that the present Area Chairman(Tr. Madhukar) and Area Vice Chairman(Tr. Umesh Padia ) are from our own city . We even had Tr . Ashish Sonthalia from RT 89 , Tr. Chetan Dev Singh from RT 148 , AST Tr. Kshitij Bafna from RT 148 and Tr. VS Sudhir from RT 303 .
A joint meeting with all the 5 tables was held . Joint meetings are really important and special to all of us for a lot of reasons . Firstly , It is a platform to exchange ideas between tablers of all the 5 tables and also to intetract with each other . It gives us a chance to interact and get to know the tablers from other tables and the visiting tablers as well.
Secondly , it gave us the opportunity to showcase what all the 5 tables have done so far in the year . Presentations were made by all the 5 tables showing all the good work executed so far in the year .
Thirdly , we had a very entertaining sergeants act by Tr . Midhun of 305 . The act that stood out was a video was played that showed an actor showing certain expressions and mannerisms and we had to guess which tabler the actor reminded them of . If the floor , chose more than one tabler then it would be put to a vote and the person with the most votes would be the winner . This was the best part of the act .
Fourthly , The area and National boards are aware of certain tablers who go that extra mile to contribute to the RTI movement and this is the platform where those tablers are recognized for all the great work they are doing , we had tablers who were awarded SUPERSTAR pins and pinned by NP Tr . Dhruv . Some of them were Tr. Shashank from 77 and Tr. Riaz from 92 . We also had Tr. Avinash Vungurala and Tr. Murali Krishna Vaddi from VART 305 who were recognized with the SUPERSTAR pin . Tr. Nithin Krishna from VKRT 225 was recognized as the super secretary and president star medals were awarded to Tr. Sarat Nalla of VART 305 and Area Chairman Tr Madhukar Rathi of VVRT 213 . Tr Chaitanya from WRT 92 and Tr. Pavan Hirawat from VKRT 225 were awarded Super Treasurers . Tr . Prakash Sainani of VVRT 213 was recognized for winning the Push up challenge . Congratulations to all those who got recognized and may you continue the good work . VKRT 225 had the induction ceremony of Tr , Avinash Agarwal . It was a proud moment for them to have an induction in the presence of the National President.
Past President Sq. Leg Deepak Menda congratulated Area Chairman Madhukar and National President Dhruv for a phenomenal year so far and also congratulated Area 9 for another major milestone that was achieved for winning the Jaffa cricket tournament .
National President Dhruv Dalmia appreciated all the 5 tables after watching the presentations on all the different activities . The main thing that he wanted to address the tablers about was “Freedom Through Education “ . He gave us a broader perspective to our motto for projects saying that now the time has come to take things a step furher with an extension to FTE which reads “EDUCATE , EMPOWER and EMPLOY by taking up skill development and employment exchange in all our FTE schools . He mentioned that through this initiative RTI provided jobs to 500 + children from our FTE schools . He spoke about Big Bazaar’s MOU to train children out of the FTE schools . He also spoke about the Army to visit 25 schools to encourage children to join the armed forces . He said that if this can be taken up in the FTE schools in area 9 , it will be a tremendous source of inspiration for the kids . Just imagine how kids in the school will feel if an army officer visited them ! . He also mentioned that RTI is collecting funds to donate to the families who lost their loved ones n the Pulwama attack ..
Sq . Leg Aanand Khara presented NP Tr , Dhruv with a memento. Chairman Ashish of RT 305 requested the support of all the tables for their upcoming tambola fundraiser .
Tr . Ashish Sonthalia (89) and Tr. VS Sudhir announced their candidature for AVC next year . Tr. Chetan Dev Singh announced his candidature for AST next year .
After the meeting the fellowship continued with some foot taping Bollywood music and socializing till the wee hours of the morning .
All in all a fantastic joint meeting . Looking forward to more such meets so that we can get to meet the other tables more often .
