VRT 77 reaches out to help the needy during COVID 19

The pandemic has created havoc all over the country and the world and has changed our perspective  of how we view life .   We as a Table thought of a cause wherein we could do our bit for the society during this trying time . VRT 77 rose to the occasion and with the help of our 41ers came up with an idea to convert a school into a COVID isolation and treatment centre at Gudilova with the support of Bharateeya Vidya Kendram .  The facility at Gudilova is the Vijnana Vihara Residential school through the Dr. Hedgewar Hospital .

VRT 77 provided oxygen beds as medical infrastructure which includes the beds , regulators , oxygen cylinders and IV stands . We are looking at patients who have  mild COVID symptoms who cannot afford a bed and basic medical care for COVID . About a 100 beds have been set up in Gudilova  . We have tied up with Vivekananda Medical Trust .

The patients are being provided with free food and medicines . The center is equipped with medical staff and oxygen supply

VRT has also successfully converted an existing RTI school ( Sri Krishna Vidya Mandir)  into a COVID isolation and treatment center  at Dwarkanagar  where 50 beds have been set up with oxygen supply and doctors support . We have also donated  50 regulators at this facility .  The criteria of patients admitted here as well are patients who have mild COVID symptoms and cannot afford a bed or basic medical care for COVID .
