CHARTER DAY CELEBRATIONS GRT 86

On the eve of our charter day… celebrating our 33 years of impacting lives and doing service to the community… this day we decided to commemorate the same by doing community service activities

On the occasion of Charter Day celebrations, we had arranged lunch & fruits for 30 senior citizens and 40 orphaned children at ANURAG OLDAGE HOME & CARE & ORPHANED HOME, GUNTUR in the hands of our chairman LMF Tr. Kranthi Shekhar and also by Secretary Tr. Surendra Sriram & Vice chairman Tr. Ramkumar. The lunch has been sponsored by SANNDHIRA represented  by Tr. Surendra Sriram & Tr. Ram Kumar.

The pandemic  has  bought a sudden halt to many lives but  the lives of these organizations have taken the biggest hit as sponsors and donors are unable to contribute due to the fact that they cannot travel or due to the fact that they are also under financial strain due to the shutting down of their business for the past 3 months, however as the saying in our table goes “Where there is will,  there is a  way…

We  are in continuous touch with various sponsors and donors to come forward and contribute not as one but  together so that one doesn’t have to feel the completion or be in an awkward situation of willing to help but not being able to help   due to financial constraint.

We have also received positive encouragement from our Tablers, and Sq.Legs who are willing to come forward in contributing for these types of  activities and we are looking to make this difference in the society that’s otherwise reeling under the pressure and difficulties to sustain & run their homes .

This is our way of applauding their noble efforts for their care and concern towards their chosen profession and cause .

On the occasion of Guntur Round Table 86 Charter day , we have decided to open the day with the contribution of Rs.50,000.00 towards setting up of computer lab to facilitate online classes for the underprivileged students from classes 4 to 8 at “VIJNANA VIHARA VIDYA KENDRAM COMMITEE,NUTAKKI, GUNTUR DISTRICT” by Tr.Surendra Sriram & Cr. Dr. Bhargavi. Due to the pandemic  that we are in, not only are  normal lives getting affected but  the students years in school   are also getting affected which are   not going come back at  many schools  as they are  shut down and due to financial constraints  are  unable to put in the  effort   to do online classes to continue with the important education for their students.

At  Guntur Round Table 86, we have realized that thought it would not be possible to support all at one single time but  taking the first step and encouraging others to do the same will be very helpful in  helping a   lot more schools and students in this way and there is no better special occasion   than the day of our charter to start this initiative to support schools for their online setup to help them continue with their curriculum.

We  are looking at some more other schools and spreading the awareness to our sponsors and encouraging them to come forward, so that we can create a difference and bring an impact in the lives of many students.

The new tabling year kickstarted as HORT 212 & HOLC 166 had their first fellowship with an innovative cookery challenge, “Meri wali Maggi” for which the tablers & circlers had to come up with their version of Maggi. And who could have thought that a simple 2 minute instant noodle could be savoured in so many different and elaborate ways.
All the enthusiastic tablers participated as they cooked a wide range of mouth watering dishes such as Maggie Manchow Soup, Maggie Quesadillas, Maggie Ravioli, Maggie Kebabs, Maggi Thai Salad, Maggi Darsaan with Vanilla Ice cream etc. Not only were these dishes innovative and delicious, the challenge also helped the families bond as the men and kids helped the ladies out in preparation and presentation of these dishes.
It was a delight to see all the pictures & videos that kept pouring. Special prizes & awards were given . Chairman Naveen & Vritika and Jewel Rohit Sethi & Pooja were the winners of the challenge.
