ABOUT AREA – IX
Area IX is the cluster of Tables of Round Table India from the region of Andhra Pradesh. It was formed in the year 2001 from some of the tables split from Area II and AREA III. The oldest table in Area IX is the Hyderabad Round Table 8 (HRT 8) which was inaugurated on 22nd November 1965 and chartered on 3rd December 1966. The first chairman of Area IX was Tr. Sunil Kapoor from Secunderabad City Round Table 89 (SCRT 89) and the first Vice – chairman was Tr.Narasimha Rao from Waltair Round Table 92 (WRT 92). The first Area Executive Meeting( AEX) was conducted on 10th September 2001. Ever since then, the Area IX family grew in leaps and bounds. New tables were chartered and today Area IX has 16 dynamic tables.
