Biriyani fellowship at 7 biriyanis at VRT 77

The word Biryani is derived from the Persian word Birian, which means ‘fried before cooking’ and Birinj, the Persian word for rice. There are various theories related to the origin of this scrumptious dish. Many historians believe that biryani originatedfrom Persia and was brought to India by the Mughals.

There are many places which serve this popular dish . Some Biryanis are famous because of the way it is prepared and also because it can be made less spicy yet there are other varieties of biriyani that are famous because it is spicy .

On Sunday afternoon , VRT 77 had a fellowship at a fairly new restaurant called 7 biriyanis which is famous for serving seven different varieties of Biriyani :

Raju gari Kodu Biriyani

Kabuli Channa Biriyani

Double Anda Biriyani

Ulavucharu Kodi Biriyani

Rajamundry Ajanta Biriyani

Mirchi Kodi Kebab biryani

Pudhina Mirchi Veg Biryani

Is your mouth watering already … It should be .. Mine was watering while typing the list of Biriyanis down  (haha ) ..

It would have been impossible to order all the biriyanis and finish them . We would need a couple of  more sittings for that .

So , we ordered just about 3 biryani’s . We had the 7 B special chicken biryani  , the Ullavucharu kodi biryani and the egg biriyani .  It was nice and spicy just like how we liked it . We relished every bit of it  and we were quite stuffed after our meal . All in all . we ate to our heart’s content .
